Quote from HVS5b :Aye, big up for Team Turbo

Quote from Mazz4200 :Congrats to Turbo Dad for getting the highest points total not just in our sub-league, but the highest out of everyone in the whole game. A whopping 717 pts

Thanks guys don't know where that come from

I think that's the biggest weekly score yet, but the points will start flying up now that everyone's team is getting better.

If only I hadn't missed the first race ..............:weeping:

Quote from tristancliffe :Chip Tuning - A waste of time. You don't get something for nothing (not including the price of 'tuning' the chip [or replacing it]).

A con for stupid people in my opinion.

Could you explain?...

Quote from tristancliffe :I've driven quite a lot of road cars, on quite a variety of roads, at quite high speeds (when I was younger and more foolish), and never once experienced brake fade due to pads boiling or exceeding the temperature range of my pads. I have, however, suffered green-fade a few times when pushing new pads hard, but that is to be expected (but not encouraged!)

was looking at some old improvement suggestions and found this
Quote from tristancliffe :I cooked the brakes on my old 306 once. Pedal went all mushy, and no amount of bleeding, changing discs and pads, rebuilding the master cylinder etc could cure it.

So I sold it It wasn't unsafe, just never felt as good as it had done...

Quote from mcintyrej :... I've narrowed it down to 2 answers, but one of them isn't really correct since one of the drivers hasn't raced yet, therefore the family hasn't competed.

Quote from wark :It's obvious. There is only one answer that could possibly be obvious.

Quote from Tweaker :Indeed

Check again guys

You've never driven hard enough then ! (or at least braked hard enough) cant remember a motor I've driven that's not had massive brake fade . Very scary sensation (without left foot braking)
The other night my mate was driving me home in his volvo estate turbo and his brakes were on fire when we pulled up :bananadea

Or maybe it's just good Scottish twisty steep roads your missing :splat:

Now with huge 4 pot Brembo's ,325mm twin grooved vented discs ,s/s braided hoses, DOT 5.1 and Ferodo DS,3000 racing pads the only 'give' i get is the bulk head flexing .

The advice for bedding in the pads runs as follows;
When bedding in the car always try to bed on used rotors. If bedding on new rotors follow the rotor bedding instructions of the manufacturer, as it is important to heat cycle them first before bedding the pads. After fitting the new pads prepare the car by blocking off 50 percent of the brake cooling / air ducts to speed the “heat up time”. When leaving the pit lane apply brake gently at low speed to ensure pads are fitted correctly, build up temperature progressively to approx 350° C (670° F). This enables the heat to distribute around all areas of the pad.

When brakes are at suitable temperature begin bedding process, achieve approximately 70 percent of race speed then perform 25-30 brake applications at half normal race pedal pressure holding on for 4 seconds.
When this is completed use a slowing down lap to allow brakes to cool. Return to the pit lane and allow pads to cool completely, check rotor appearance. Transfer film should be constant around rotor face, any “patchy” deposit will result in brake pedal judder. The use of temperature paint on rotors enables more accurate bedding procedure.

This is fun when you dont have a track !

Quote from Gentlefoot :....So yeah, I can feel all this stuff through my G25 - wheel setup can be found here: http://gentlefoot.com/LFS/Images/LFScontrols.JPG

So what's your thinking behind 270 deg in profiler and 220 ingame with wheel turn compensation at 1 , when you have a G25 ?
Which car is this for,the mrt ?

Or do you change the wheel rotation per car ?

Quote from tristancliffe :Funny how engine damage isn't displayed in a real car either, yet people manage.

-1 for more silly arcade displays.

What's an engine warning light for then?

does have to be on an overlay display it could be a simple warning light on the dash
(cause everyone should drive cockpit view)

engine warning light usually shows sensor or emission faults

Quote from Gentlefoot : The inside edge of the tyre should be 10-15 degrees above the optimum temp, middle should be 5-10 degrees above optimum and outside edge I find works best when about 5 degrees below optimum.

would this apply to just this car , or all?

If all cars ,just slicks or road tyres as well?

Looks like the restriction checker system is available , but what we're looking for is a program that calculates the amount of ballast or intake restriction dependant on your finish place , something like btcc

1st position: +42 Kg
2nd: +30 Kg
3rd: +18 Kg
4th: +9 Kg
5th: +0 Kg
6th or lower: 0 Kg
(and then use a restriction checker )

and then keep adding/subtracting as the night goes on to keep the racing as close as possible.

Were a group of mates that race together once a week.
There are massively different levels of experience between us, but like nice close racing.

We have been using success ballast/air restriction to try and balance the feild. But adding/removing this manually is a bit hit and miss, especially when we make the server public.

Ballast/restriction could be added/removed depending on placing or average lap time or combo of both.
I don’t think the ballast could be added automatically but a message to each driver stating their new handicap; send to pit and a check to see if the new handicap parameters were met upon leaving.

We have some amazing close races when we get the balancing correct, even though some of the boys have done 100,000 miles+ and others lucky to have 5k

Is something like this possible?

Dear TD,

Thank you for contacting Logitech's Electronic Technical Support.

I am sorry for the delay in replying to your email. I understand that you would like to know function of the option “allow game to adjust settings”.

If the game supports change of degrees of rotation then this option would enable the game to change this feature.

Should you have any other queries, please do not hesitate to write back to me.

If you have any additional questions regarding your product, please feel free to visit our website at http://www.logitech.com
